SAN ANTONIO (December 2, 2013) – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has reassigned forward Wade Megan and defenseman Josh McFadden to the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Megan, 23, played in four games with the Rampage and tallied one assist. At the time of his recall to San Antonio on Nov. 18, he was second in the ECHL with nine goals through only 11 games. Despite spending the last two weeks in San Antonio, Megan still leads the Cyclones with 15 points (nine goals, six assists). The rookie forward started the season on a seven-game point streak for Cincinnati and was named the ECHL Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 3 after tallying six goals and three assists in three games. Megan signed an amateur tryout contract with the Rampage on March 28 and finished last season with the Silver and Black, tallying one goal in 13 games. Prior to signing in San Antonio, Megan completed his senior year at Boston University (2012-13) where he scored 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 38 games while serving as the captain of the club. The Panthers fifth-round selection (138th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft tallied 83 points in 151 career games at Boston University (2009-13).

McFadden, 22, suited up in one game for San Antonio after being recalled from Cincinnati on Nov. 24. The blueliner has played in seven games for the Cyclones this season and has recorded a goal and an assist. McFadden donned the Silver and Black in nine games last season during his rookie campaign, but was held off the scoresheet. McFadden spent the majority of his rookie year with Cincinnati, recording two goals and 12 assists in 28 games. Prior to turning pro, McFadden played four seasons in the OHL totaling 222 games and 150 points (39 goals, 111 assists). During the 2010-11 season, McFadden led the Sudbury Wolves in scoring and was third in the league among defenseman with 19 goals and 53 assists in 67 games.
