SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to an entry-level contract with C Steven Hodges.
“We are happy to have reached a contract agreement with Steven,” said Tallon. “He is another one of our young prospects who will have the opportunity to grow and develop within our organization.”
Hodges, 20, played in 52 regular season games for the Victoria Royals (Western Hockey League) this season, collecting 47 points (21-26-47) and a +20 rating. The center added a team-high 10 points (4-6-10) in nine playoff games.
The Yellowknife, NWT native has recorded 157 points (75-82-157) in 247 games with Chilliwack (2009-2011) and Victoria (2011-2014). Hodges was drafted by Florida in the third round (84th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft.
