RAMPAGE TO OPEN 2008-09 SEASON AT HOME

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Rampage announced today that it will open the 2008-09 season at the AT&T Center Saturday, October 11 at 7 p.m. against the Milwaukee Admirals.

“The full season schedule is in its final stages and should be released later this week,” said Ryan Snider, Rampage director of hockey business operations. “This season will be very exciting, especially coming off last year’s Calder Cup Playoff performance. We are happy to be opening on a Saturday which will allow fans to get energized about opening night and the rest of the season.”

As the Rampage embark on its seventh season in the American Hockey League this will be the fourth season that the team has opened at home. The Rampage have a winning 5-1 record in season home openers.

The Rampage, now in its fourth season as the top affiliate for the National Hockey League’s Phoenix Coyotes, have recently signed a two-year agreement renewing its partnership with the Coyotes.
