San Antonio forward Brett MacLean scored his 61st goal in a Rampage uniform to become the all-time franchise leading goal scorer in a 2-1 shootout win over the Texas Stars Friday night at the Cedar Park Center.

The Rampage improve to 16-6-1-0 and lead the West Division and Western Conference standings with 33 points.

Matt Climie was perfect in the shootout stopping all four Stars attempts. Overall this season, Climie has stopped 11 of 12 shootout attempts for a 91.6% success rate, the second-best among AHL goaltenders.

The Stars opened the scoring 6:59 into the first period taking a 1-0 lead off left wing Fabian Brunnstrom’s power-play goal. Brunnstrom redirected a centering pass from Philip Larsen beating Climie low stick side.

The Rampage evened the score at 1-1 when MacLean punched in the rebound on the open net after Chris Summers' shot was deflected behind Stars netminder Richard Bachman 18:41 into the opening frame.

The game remained scoreless for the second and third periods sending the game to overtime and eventually the shootout.

Mikkel Boedker and Matt Beaudoin scored the two goals in the shootout allowing the Rampage to seal their victory at 2-1.

The Rampage will travel to Michigan tomorrow for back-to-back games against the Grand Rapids Griffins starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday at Van Andel Arena.
