Coyotes assign MacLean to San Antonio

Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned right wing Brett MacLean to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey Leage affiliate.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound MacLean played in his first NHL game on Wednesday, December 29, scoring his first NHL goal in the Coyotes 6-3 win over Los Angeles. In 32 games with the Rampage this season, MacLean has registered 14-17-31. He leads the team in goals (14) and points (31) and ranks tied for second in assists with 17. MacLean is also tied for second on the Rampage with a plus-9 rating and tied for the team lead with six power-play goals.

Last season, the 22-year-old native of London, Ontario played 76 games with San Antonio registering 30-35-65 and 43 penalty minutes.
