Rampage send Ondrej Roman to Cincinnati

San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has assigned left wing Ondrej Roman to their ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Roman, 23, has played in 16 games with the Rampage posting one goal and two assists. He was acquired by the Panthers from the Dallas Stars in exchange for Angelo Esposito on Jan. 13, 2012. Prior to joining the Rampage, the Ostrava-Poruba, Czech Republic native appeared in 24 games with the Texas Stars (AHL) this season tallying one goal and four assists. He also appeared in six games with the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) contributing two goals and four assists. 

The 6-foot-0, 185-pound forward has played in 112 career AHL games totaling 10 goals and 20 assists.  Roman was selected by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round (136th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rampage hit the road for a back-to-back series against the Heat in Abbotsford, British Columbia on Saturday and Sunday. The team will return home on Wednesday to host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
