Catching up with ... Ryan Hollweg

SARAMPAGE.COM caught up with Ryan Hollweg for a question and answer session ...

How are you staying busy during the off-season?
I am staying pretty busy this summer with all of my off season training.  I have also been doing a lot of golfing and have had a couple of camping trips.

Are you fully recovered from your injury?
Yes, I am 100% recovered from my injury.

What is your focus going into Coyotes training camp?
To be in the best shape possible and make the team.

What do you think will be the key to the Rampage’s success this year?
I think the key to success for this team this season is going to be to have a good start much like last season but to sustain it through November and the rest of the season. We can't be chasing from behind in the standings for as long as we did last season.

Two California players were drafted in the first round of the NHL draft this year.  Being from California, are you surprised how much the game has evolved in such a short period of time?
I wouldn't exactly say I am surprised how much the game has evolved.  Being from California and growing up watching Gretzky in the 80's was huge for ice hockey in Southern California. Inline hockey is very popular in California, actually there is no place in the world where the sport is more popular, so it was only a matter of time before you would see all of this talent transfer over to ice hockey and witness what we are seeing now for development in Southern California.

Do you plan on bringing back the mustache next season?
The mustache is already back and will be in full form for my head shot.
